On February 12, 1947, Christian Dior launched his first collection for Spring-Summer 1947. The collection was called "Corolla", but it is known as ''New Look" it was named by an American magazine editor. I think this is the most amazing thing in the whole fashion history, Dior made the women feels like a flower after the WWII. The collection was very well done, the full skirt, the large bust and the small waist.
Makanism is A New York and San Francisco based, housing film, animation, digital content and production studio. Mekanism has developed award winning campaigns. Their web site is very inspirational and very funny.

Twitter has become on of the most popular social networks around the World Wide Web. It is a website that asks the question "What are you doing?" where the answer can't be more than 140 characters in length. Answers can be sent through the web, instant message, or mobile texting. It makes it easier for people to connect and know what others are doing. It was a simple idea by Jack Dorsey where he wanted to be able to know what his friends were doing. Twitter was lunched publocly in August of 2006. The service grew popular really quickly. It has been joined by many famous people, such as, Kim Kardashian, the Backstreey boys,Karl Lagerfeld, Paris Hilton, and Oprah Winfrey. It is a very interesting website that keeps people communicated to others locally and internationally.
Nadine Chahine is a talented Arabic typography designer, from Lebanon. She studied Graphic Design at the American University of Beirut and MA in Typeface Design at the University of Reading, UK. As a visiting lecturer at the American University in Dubai and at the Lebanese American University in Beirut, She taught Arabic type design. I love her designs, and i am proud that we have such talented arabic type designer.
Campaign to create more awareness around child labour, launched by World Vision, in Amsterdam. The agency Ogilvy presented a life size adhesive of children at automatic revolving doors. An amazing and strong idea, that is well delivered.
Underwater is a Series of photographs taken by, Erin Mulvehill. Unlike the underwater i have posted before by Alix Malka, these photographs are lacking colours, which makes them very different from all underwater photograph i have seen before.
Marit Fujiwara, young rising star textile designer. She presented a mind blowing collection for her BA graduation from the Chelsea College of Art and Design. I am so impressed by what i saw, i love the details, colours, texture and different techniques.

Spring Summer fashion campaign 2008 for Harvey Nichols. Creative and new idea, the meaning behind it is showing the impact of Harvey Nichols products on other people, and what the product say about the person. The idea is illustrated as huge speech bubbles, each bubble is three meter wide, and it is knocking people to the ground.
I really like the idea, because i feel it make each buyer feels like that the product is about her/him self.
The film is 3D fantasy adventure, that takes the audience to a magical place. The movie will be released in theaters in May, 2010.

Annie the Shopping Trolley Chair, chair that is made of shopping cart that is recycled. It is designed by Max McMurdo, a beautiful and eye-catching showing recycling at its best. The trolley is transformed to an amazing functional chair, by removing the wheel and reshaping. A comfortable cushion is used in the design and it comes in a different colours. the cushion is eco-friendly, made by woven fabric,100% hemp, very little water and no chemicals.
The Museum of National History, located in Washington D.C, established in 1910, is a part of the historical Smithsonian institution. This museum exhibits a wide range of features, from Egyptian artifacts to preserved fossils and remnants from the Ice Age.
Recently, this same structure was featured in the movie Night at the museum, by comedian Ben Stiller where everything exhibited in the museum comes to life at night. Actually, you don’t really need a movie to show how amazing this museum is. And like what the movie shows, its like seeing the past come back to life.
